Liberty Oak closes
Liberty Oak permanently closed in early February 2026, concluding a 46-year run that made it one of the longest-operating restaurants in downtown Greensboro. The establishment first opened in the late 1970s and became known for its relaxed atmosphere, full bar, and loyal base of regulars.
