ASHEBORO, N.C. — Just two months after living at the Place of Grace men’s shelter himself, Eugene Corcoran now spends his days helping others find stability and support.
“I volunteer to work the phones and give people information about what they can do, who they speak to,” Corcoran said. “I also drive the van. I go get food donations for the shelter, and I take people to doctor visits and job interviews.”
