Greensboro gets approval for $29.8M bond to upgrade First Horizon Coliseum and city facilities

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The city of Greensboro received approval Tuesday from the Local Government Commission to issue $29.8 million in limited obligation bonds to fund several municipal projects.

About $21 million of the proceeds will be used for improvements and retrofitting of the First Horizon Coliseum, including upgrades to host sporting and other events, such as the 2027 ACC Basketball Tournament.
