SEAGROVE, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman accused of shooting and killing her husband, a Piedmont Triad firefighter, was found guilty by a jury in Randolph County court on Wednesday.
Heather Hicks Auman stood trial this week after the June 2022 shooting death of her husband, MJ Auman, a Seagrove firefighter.

MJ Auman died at the hospital from what was initially reported as a self-inflicted gunshot wound. However, as Randolph County deputies investigated, they determined he had been shot by someone else. Enough evidence was found to charge Heather Auman with first-degree murder.
