GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The City of Greensboro is seeing changes to downtown parking, and city leaders say it was shaped by community feedback.
This comes after a city parking plan that addressed post-pandemic demand, along with business walks and conversations with stakeholders. Now, the goal is to make sure downtown parking works for everyone.

Some of the main changes are free parking on the street, and public lots will start an hour earlier at 5 p.m. on weekdays. On parking decks, the first hour will be free on weekdays and all day on Sundays. Drivers can also expect new signs and consistent enforcement for parking throughout downtown.
