Purina Eden donates $15,000 to help fund Draper VFD equipment

Team members from Purina Eden presented a $15,000 donation to leaders of Draper Volunteer Fire Department to help fund additional life-saving rescue equipment that will strengthen emergency response capabilities across the community.

The grant will support the purchase of specialized high-angle rescue equipment and stabilization tools, including rescue struts used in vehicle accidents and technical rescue situations. The new equipment will expand the department’s ability to respond to emergencies throughout the Draper rural community and the northeast region of Rockingham County, while also supporting emergency preparedness for the Purina facility in Eden.

“This funding allows us to add critical life-saving equipment that will significantly enhance our rescue capabilities,” said Brian Porter, fire chief of Draper Volunteer Fire Department. “We’re grateful to Purina for recognizing the importance of investing in first responders and helping ensure we can continue providing high-quality emergency services to our community.”…
