Some Alamance County people say bringing back Burington train stops could help connect the growing community with the rest of the state.

“Burlington is a growing area now, and it used to be a hub in North Carolina, so I think it would add great value in adding a Burlington stop,” said John Vance, a Mebane resident.

According to the survey results from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Rail Division, people want early morning trains for their work commute and faster train service. They also say better station access would help, including airport connections and more parking.
