An Eagle Springs man is accused of stealing an ambulance in Randolph County and driving it about 50 miles to Pinehurst early Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, Randolph County EMS crews were dropping off a patient shortly before 6 a.m. at Randolph Health in Asheboro when Allen Morgan, 27, allegedly entered the ambulance and stole the vehicle.
Police said Morgan drove the ambulance to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital while patrol cars were following him on Highway 211. The ambulance was recovered at the hospital with minor damage. No injuries were reported…
