Redevelopment at old Carolina Steel Plant in Greensboro ready to take next step amid upward investment trend

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A project to redevelop the old Carolina Steel Plant in Greensboro is entering its second phase.

The Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship’s Steelhouse project is designed to bring a multi-use and multi-tenant industrial facility along South Elm-Eugene Street in East Greensboro.

The first phase of the three-phase project began in June 2024, with continued progress in August 2025.
