Man killed in High Point shooting; crashed car into house

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — The High Point Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed and the car that he was driving crashed into a home on Thursday night.

At around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, officers came to the 500 block of Anaheim Street after getting a report of a car crashing into a home.

At the scene, police found that the driver, Stanley J. Lerebours, 35, of Raleigh, had been shot multiple times. Guilford County EMS took Lerebours to the hospital and critical condition and he died as a result of his injuries on Friday morning.
