Greensboro fire, Red Cross install smoke alarms in neighborhoods near Yanceyville Center

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Fire Department is conducting a smoke alarm distribution drive Saturday, teaming up with the Red Cross to ensure local residents have working alarms.

Fire crews from Engine 1, Engine 14, Battalion 1, and the Greensboro Fire and Life Safety Division will be visible in the neighborhood surrounding the Red Cross Yanceyville Center at 1501 Yanceyville Street. They will begin going door-to-door around 10 a.m. and continue until approximately 1 p.m.
