High Point Police Department mourns loss of detective; ‘Greatly missed by many’

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A detective and member of the High Point Police Department Honor Guard died unexpectedly this week.

According to the High Point Police Department, Detective David Rosser, 42, died earlier this week after a medical emergency.

Rosser had been with HPPD since 2008 and had most recently worked with the violent crimes unit. Rosser also served as a firearms instructor, crisis negotiator, played bagpipes for the HPPD Honor Guard and worked as a member of the Civil Emergency Unit…
