16-year-old, 18-year-old charged after threats made at Thomasville high school, police say

THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — Police have charged two teenagers after threats were made at a Piedmont Triad school.

On Wednesday, around 1:50 p.m., a school resource officer with the Thomasville Police Department asked for help after two people came up to a secured campus gate and implied they were armed. Officers responded and helped the SRO detain two people.

The investigation determined that earlier in the day, two students got into an argument, and one of the students left campus. After that, the juvenile student came back to school with an 18-year-old relative, that’s when the pair approached the secured gate and made threats…
