O&I zoning approved for Konica Drive in western Burlington, eastern Guilford County
Burlington’s planning and zoning commission has given its imprimatur to a developer’s request for office and institutional zoning in the midst of a stretch of otherwise industrial zoning along Konica Drive in the city’s far western reaches, in eastern Guilford County.
The rezoning request is for 39 acres that fronts Konica Drive in between two existing industries, Ametek and Zink Imaging, across the street from Red Oak Brewery, and down the street from one warehouse and another one now under construction.
The acreage is just north of the 200-acre site of a planned Food Lion distribution center farther down NC 61 that will ultimately employ 500 people…
