A man is facing felony drug-related crimes following a traffic stop on I-95 near Marsh Road.
Delaware State Police said a motorist was stopped for a registration violation Sunday morning, and the trooper became suspicious of drug trafficking activity while speaking with the driver. A New Castle County Police K-9 was called to the scene and alerted to the presence of drugs.
The search of the vehicle according to police uncovered nearly 2,300-grams of suspected cocaine, and a variety of pills. State Police said 55-year-old James Pyrtle of Whitsett, North Carolina was taken into custody.
