GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Thousands of property owners are fighting back against their home or business property reappraisals.
The Guilford County Tax Department is working through 6,200 appeals from property owners. Officials said 175 of those protests are from commercial properties.
Duke Energy addresses proposed payment increase
The tax department has reviewed more than 1,200 of those appeals as of Monday. GCTD Director Ben Chavis said they are continuing to work through them as the appeal deadline approaches.
‘Work With Us’
“If there’s something grossly wrong, we want it to be right, and we want the general public to work with us to get to the right conclusion,” Chavis said.
