ASHEBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro attorney said the decision to sentence someone to death is not cut and dry, that there are many factors that go into it. It’s part of the reason death sentences do not happen often.
A jury in Randolph County made a unanimous decision to sentence Branson Lambert to death in connection with the killing of 23-year-old Dillion Wirt.
