Audacy Adult R&B “97.1 WQMG” Greensboro NC personality Renee Vaughn passed away over the weekend.
Vaughn most recently served as the local producer and host during the syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show. Outside of a brief departure to Talk 101.1 WZTK in 2005-06, she has been with WQMG since 2000 anchoring local inserts for Harvey and before that Tom Joyner. Vaughn, a native of Winston-Salem, began her career in 1992 at 980 WAAA and spent five years there before moving to Fayetteville first as overnight host and later middays at “Foxy 99” WZFX. She also hosted middays during her tenure at WQMG.
