Guilford County deputy arrested after allegedly bringing drugs to detention center

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A Guilford County detention officer is now the one behind bars after he was charged with possessing drugs at the High Point Detention Center.

On Thursday, the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office says it’s narcotics task force arrested Christopher Aleman, 31.

When the investigation began, Aleman was a sheriff’s office employee working as a detention services officer at the High Point Detention Center. He had been employed for about nine months and was fired as a result of the investigation.

According to GCSO, Aleman had about 57 grams of methamphetamine and other contraband while he was working at the detention center. Warrants say a K-9 led officers to Aleman’s Jeep, where they found the drugs.

He was charged with two counts of felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell or distribution a schedule II controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises…
