NORTH CAROLINA — A search is underway in Rockingham County for a suspect connected to a breaking-and-entering investigation, according to local authorities.
The incident was reported around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, when a woman called 911 to report a break-in at her home on Springwood Drive in Eden. Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said the woman was outside tending to her animals when she noticed a man in her yard carrying a shotgun.
After realizing her home had been broken into, the woman immediately contacted emergency services. Authorities said the suspect stole a shotgun from the residence before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported…
