RANDLEMAN, N.C. — A child is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling into a hole near Worthville Dam, and now a Greensboro mother says the situation could have been prevented.
Jessica McCoss says her family experienced something similar months earlier, when her 6-year-old son, Trey Russo, fell into the same hole in September 2025.
“About six months ago… my son and my husband went to the Worthville Dam to go fishing or explore,” McCoss said. “He called me and told me that our son had fallen into a hole.”…
