POLK COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A man has been indicted in the killings of an elderly Polk County couple who were found dead in their burned home in May.
District Attorney Andrew Murray confirmed Tuesday, June 9, that a grand jury indicted Christopher Shane Turner, 42, on two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of Robert and Wendy Peck of Saluda. Both victims were 80.
Court records also confirmed the grand jury indicted Turner on an arson charge related to the Pecks’ home.
Court records show Turner faces additional charges of larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a firearm. Murray said the motor vehicle larceny charge was not part of Monday’s grand jury indictment…
