Fountain Inn Council gives final approval on $40M city budget for FY26-27

The Fountain Inn City Council gave final approval for the city’s 2026-27 budget.

For the next fiscal year, the city plans for $40,255,597 in expenditures across all funds, while maintaining the current property tax millage of 68.7 mills. A public forum was held in regards to the budget at Thursday’s meeting, though no speakers attended. Council approved the proposed budget unanimously.

Next year’s budget does include some rate increases for residents, including a Public Works Fee adjustment to $239 per year.
