Greenville Co. deputies awarded after reviving infant who fell into pool

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Two deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have been awarded after they saved the life of a child who fell into a pool.

On May 31, a 10-month-old fell into a swimming pool and stopped breathing.

According to the sheriff’s office, the child was revived through the work of deputies Jordan Stevenson and Connor O’Shields, who were able to provide care for the child until more medical personnel arrived at the scene.

Sheriff Hobart Lewis gave Stevenson and O’Shields Distinguished Service Awards for their “extraordinary actions that exemplify the very best of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.”…
