GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Greenville County Schools is putting new limits on student screen time and artificial intelligence use before the new school year.
The district’s new administrative rules set device-use expectations by grade level. Kindergarten and first grade classrooms will have three to five devices for small-group activities, restricted to testing, literacy activities and specific student needs. Second through fifth grade students will keep one-to-one devices, but only for assessments and district-approved educational apps.
