Greenville Municipal Court Judge Matthew Hawley passed away June 26, according to the city of Greenville. He was 73.
Hawley was born on Sept. 3, 1952. He served as the chief judge of the Greenville Municipal Court for 30 years. Hawley’s family said in a statement posted on the city’s website that he was committed to a life of public service.
“Our family appreciates the outpouring of support from the city and the community at large,” the family said in the statement. “His loss leaves a huge hole in our lives.”…
