SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Funeral Board has suspended the crematory operator license of Robert Nelms, the former CEO of an Upstate funeral home, after FOX Carolina Investigates began asking questions about his background.
The board’s order states that Nelms’ actions pose a “serious threat to the public’s safety and welfare.”
Who is Robert Nelms?
Last month, Nelms was arrested in Spartanburg County and extradited to Michigan to face a first-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. That case remains pending.
