PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A former Anderson County teacher accused of a “prolonged and inappropriate relationship” with a teenage boy was indicted by a grand jury in Pickens County, according to online court records.
Nicole Ballew Callaham was indicted on the following charges:
- Second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, or attempt – victim under 16
- First-degree criminal sexual conduct
- (2 counts) Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
In June, a judge lifted Nicole Ballew Callaham’s house arrest but ordered that she continue wearing a GPS monitor. Red zones will also remain in place to restrict her from areas the victim frequently visits.
Officials said Callaham was a teacher at Homeland Park Primary in 2021 when she began grooming the boy, which they said continued for at least two years. She turned herself in on July 10, 2025.
