PICKENS, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Pickens police discovered parts of an illegal moonshine distillery inside city limits for the first time in five years, according to Police Chief Randal Beach.
Officers went to the home on June 2 searching for drugs. Instead, they found a 50-gallon mash barrel in the master bedroom, along with all the components of a working still and corn stored in a freezer, carefully labeled.
