Another hot day Sunday, rain chances increase

A Weather Impact day for the heat remains in place for Sunday. Temperatures will still be hot, particularly in the Upstate. Highs will be in the mid 90s, feeling like 100-104. In the mountains, temperatures will top out in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

Showers and storms will also be possible to pop up this afternoon through the evening. There is a marginal risk for severe weather due to strong winds embedded within any storms that develop.

Temperatures will still remain hot through much of next week. The ridge of high pressure from last week will now be weaker, allowing for more rain to develop. Showers will be more likely early in the week, then less rain is expected by the end of the week…
