Another early offer at the quarterback position for Clemson in the class of 2028 went to Trey Wright of Frisco (TX) Frisco Lone Star High School.
Wright is rated as a three-star prospect and is as highly ranked as the 25th-best quarterback in his class. Holding Wright back in his ranking is his listed 5-foot-11 and 170-pound size. Despite that, he still holds over 25 offers, with some coming from SMU, TCU, Oklahoma, and Cincinnati.
While he held a couple of offers before his sophomore season, his recruitment took a rise after Wright set fire to 5A Texas high school football. He threw for over 4000 yards and rushed for over 1700 yards, while combining for 54 total touchdowns…
