2 Greer officers terminated for violating policy on Flock cameras, police say

GREER, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greer Police Department reports two officers have been terminated after violating the department’s policy on Automatic License Plate Recognition technology.

The policy says “the Flock system is to be used for ‘public safety related missions of the agency’ and that misuse of the technology can result in disciplinary action.”

The policy has been revised several times as a reflection on best practices and evolving technology and these updates have been distributed to the appropriate staff, police said…
