GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — A 26-year-old Greenville County man was arrested Wednesday for reportedly submitting forged insurance documents to supposedly secure a business contract.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Jonathan Martinez-Garciawith two counts of forgery—value $10,000 or more—and two counts of making a false statement or misrepresentation—1st offense.
According to the arrest warrants, Martinez-Garcia allegedly forged a certificate of liability insurance for his company, MG Staffing, on July 21, 2023, and submitted it to Johnson Electric. The coverage was for $10,000 and had to be in place for the bid to Johnson Electric…
