GREER, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – South Carolina Education Lottery officials said that an Upstate couple was on their way to lunch when the wife asked to stop for a lottery ticket and won $500,000.
Officials said the woman ran into QuikTrip #1113 on West Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greer to get a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket but decided to buy a scratch-off too. Once back in the car, she scratched the ticket.
