The Greenville Housing Authority has helped more than 500 low-income families achieve self-sufficiency in its first year participating in the Moving to Work (MTW) program.
MTW is a federally funded initiative that helps low-income families become self sufficient and move out of assisted housing through the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program. Participants work with FSS staff to set and achieve their desired goals. They help current residents start businesses, achieve educational goals or find higher paying jobs.
