A proposed hotel ordinance is causing consternation in one Upstate County. At their meeting Monday night, the Pickens County Council heard from residents voicing opposition to the ordinance.
Currently the county does not have an ordinance governing hotels and resorts. Those in opposition of the proposal say that some projects were approved in the past under the county’s plans and feel the new rules could limit what property owners are allowed to build.
