Multi-county Upstate emergency response training set to begin October 5

PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A multi-county emergency response training exercise involving the South Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team is scheduled for October 5 through October 9.

Residents across Greenville, Pickens and Oconee counties may notice an increased presence of emergency personnel and low-flying rescue aircraft during the five-day drill.

The South Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (SC-HART) is a joint venture combining resources from SC State Fire, the State Air National Guard, state MDA and local emergency responders.
