1 killed in multi-vehicle crash in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – One person died in a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Greer.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash occurred on Fairview Road around 3:15 p.m.

Troopers said a Ford pickup was traveling south when it went off the right side of the road and hit the front of a Land Rover SUV that was stopped at a stop sign on Dolerite Drive.

The pickup truck continued traveling forward, crossed the center line and side-swiped a Honda sedan, troopers said.

The truck then went off the left side of the road and hit a tree according to officials.

The diver of the Ford was taken to the hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 83-year-old Richard Lamar Breazeale of Taylors.

The highway patrol said no other injuries were reported.
