GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A new trial began this week for a former Greenville County deputy who was charged with assault and battery following an incident in 2020. The former Greenville County deputy, Ryan Gibson, was charged in 2021 after the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division investigated an excessive force complaint against him.
