4-Star OL, Recent Bama Decommit Picks Up Clemson Offer

Clemson has extended an offer to this standout offensive line prospect in the class of 2025.

Evans (Ga.) High School four-star Mason Short announced the offer via social media Wednesday.

Short decommitted from Alabama last week after committing to the Tide last April.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and new offensive line Matt Luke stopped by Short’s school to see him Wednesday.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pound junior is ranked as high as the No. 71 overall prospect in the 2025 class by ESPN, which considers him the No. 9 offensive tackle nationally.

Short is slated to attend the Tigers’ elite junior day Saturday.

He also has offers from Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina and Tennessee among others.
