Upstate school receives donation of 500 pairs of shoes for students

A trucking company and a non-profit organization are partnering to provide free shoes to kids at an Upstate school. Southern Freight Lines and Samaritan’s Feet donated 500 pairs of shoes to students at Berea Elementary School, Wednesday afternoon.

Berea Elementary is a Title 1 school meaning they receive federal funding, as at least 40% of students come from low-income families. Each student received a pair of shoes, socks and a knapsack.
