GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) — A Spartanburg man was sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana, as well as conspiracy.
Raquentin Kendrick Gray-Miller, 34, as well as another man flew into Greenville Spartanburg International Airport on January 25, 2022 with suitcases containing around 50 pounds of marijuana.
The two were loading the marijuana into a coconspirator’s car and drove into a parking garage next to the terminal. While moving the drugs to another car, two men tried to rob the drug traffickers at gunpoint.
A shootout then ensued in the parking garage between some of Gray-Miller’s coconspirators and the robbers. Before the robbers fled the scene, one trafficker was severely injured.
