Crews unearth historic column in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The City of Spartanburg said crews uncovered a surprise while preparing the construction site for a new government facility. They dug up part of one of the columns from the city’s 1914 city hall. The building was demolished to make way for the current city hall, which opened in 1961.
