Upstate Forever announces protection of nearly 800 acres in 2023

In the face of ongoing development pressure in one of the fastest-growing regions of the state, Upstate Forever managed to protect nearly 800 acres of property in 2023. The local conservation nonprofit announced Jan. 30 it had finalized permanent conservation easements on 783 acres of forests, farmlands, waterways, and other green space in Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Pickens and Spartanburg counties last year.
