RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – An Upstate man turned himself in on Thursday in connection with a deadly shooting in western North Carolina months earlier. Robert Nelon was shot in the abdomen on Chase High Road in Rutherford County on Nov. 11, 2023. He died days later from his injuries.
