RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. (WLOS) – A man indicted on second-degree murder charges turned himself in at the Rutherford County Detention Center on Thursday, Feb. 1. On Nov. 11, 2023, Robert Nelon was shot in the abdomen and transported to the hospital, where he died several days later from his injuries, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office said.
