Police: 1 dead in Anderson shooting

ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) — Police with the City of Anderson are investigating a fatal shooting.

According to Chief Jim Stewart, the shooting occurred at a home on the 300 block of E Street on Saturday night.

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said upon arrival EMS found the victim in his residence with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner’s office identified the victim as 33-year-old Keenan Turman.

Officials said the preliminary investigation indicates the incident resulted from a domestic altercation between Turman and his girlfriend.
