Officials announce temporary road closure in Mauldin

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Officials with the City of Mauldin announced a road closure expected to last a month.

According to the city, Jenkins Street will be temporarily closed from North Main Street to Murray Drive starting Monday. The closure is expected to last approximately four weeks, ending on March 4.

Officials said during that time, Southern Concrete and Construction will realign and rebuild Jenkins Street, turning the curved portion of the street into a T-intersection in preparation for a new railroad crossing to Murray Drive.

Access to all local businesses on Jenkins Street and Jenkins Court will be provided during the closure.
