Greenville Co. man going to federal prison for meth distribution conspiracy

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — A Piedmont man will spend the next 18 years in prison for his involvement in a meth distribution conspiracy.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Randy James Kennedy, 35, received methamphetamine through the main and directed others on the illicit drug’s handling and distribution.

While in jail on state charges, Kennedy tried to have drugs brought into the jail. The 35-year-old has had multiple drug and firearm related convictions when he committed the federal offense.

Kennedy was sentenced to 216 months in prison, followed by a five-year term of court-ordered supervision.
