“In the Clutch”

If you have a bunch of old, but still in great shape, purses hanging around and not sure what to do with them, we can help. Take those purses, fill them with personal care goodies and share the with those who have been hurt by domestic violence.

In 2023, 42% of women 18 and older surveyed in South Carolina reported to have suffered domestic abuse at least once in their lifetime, according to the website WiseVoter and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violenc e. Nationally, about 1 in 9 men experience abuse by an intimate partner at some point during their lives.

Right now, there is an opportunity to help those who have been hurt here in the Upstate with “In the Clutch.”

The Greenville and Mauldin Police Departments along with our sister station, B 93.7 and Ingles, are collecting gently used handbags filled with personal hygiene products to benefit Mary’s House , a non-profit that provides shelter and support to families affected by domestic violence.
